These speakers are designed to provide reproduction of both stereo channels in vehicles with only one speaker location. Although the newer Dual Voice Coil speakers are the better alternative in most applications, these speakers work in tight locations where the DVC simply won't fit. Example, 1958-1960 Thunderbirds.
